The West Bend Police Cadet Unit does not receive any direct operational funding through the police department budget process. Fundraisers are used to help offset the cost of equipment for the Unit and reduce the cost for Cadets to attend expositions, state academies, and national conferences.
Donations and memorials can also be made to the West Bend Police Cadet Unit.

In Memory of Marv Husar
In 2010, Marv Husar, the founder of Husar's House of Fine Diamonds, passed away after suffering a heart attack.
In his honor, his children matched the memorials that were made out to the Cadet Unit and made a donation to the Police Cadets by purchasing new uniform shirts, jackets and patches. Husar's House of Fine Diamonds and the Husar family have made a tradition of helping the West Bend Police Cadets purchase otherwise unobtainable uniform items and modernized training equipment. The West Bend Police Cadets are a proud and professional group because of outstanding community leaders and philanthropists like Mike and Mary Husar.
